Week 6: Weigh-in

I am 6 weeks post-op today!  Time is starting to really move. This was a great week scale-wise and just in general.  But, it's a little hard to tell if it was great and the scale moved....or if it was great in part because the scale moved.  You know?

I know weight loss goes in 'steps' but normally, like in the past, I've had several weeks of loss, then a stall week, then start again.  The last four weeks, however, have been big loss, very small loss, big loss, very small loss...like week after week.

Without further ado, here are the numbers:

Highest Weight: 335
Starting Weight: 327
Current Weight: 294.6
Loss since last week: 6.8!!!

I am down a total of 40.4.  I'm losing an average of 5.75 lbs per week.  Staggering.  I need to remember that when I get down on myself.

This week also saw the start of working out.  I went to a Zumba class Tuesday, a Cardio Dance class Thursday and a Dance Fitness class last night.  In case you missed that that's THREE TIMES in one week.  Zumba was the hardest of the three, by far, and I'm already nervous about tomorrow and going again!

Also, this weekend I actually caught a glance of myself in the mirror and was a little 'woah'.  I mean, I had my shaper on and I have a faaaaar way to go but, still.  My body profile is noticeable slimmer.  Then I put on my favorite North Face fleece (Men's 3X that I wore all winter) and it was obviously big on me in the butt.  I also put on my new size 24 jeans and....they're saggy in the arse.  They fit in the waist though so it's likely the fit of this particular jean but I think this is going to be the way it is for a while. There are worse problems.
