Eating at Work

I am lucky enough to work somewhere that provides us food.  It's been interesting through trying to find things I can eat for lunch since our food tends towards the 'fancy' and not the simple and separate (plain meat, etc).

This is what I found today:

We randomly had eggs today so that was awesome and easy!  Then I took a tiny bit of black beans to try them (trying to muster up the courage.  They've just always seemed so....gross).  Then on my way out I saw these toasty corners of pita so I grabbed one.  I really try not to eat carbs every day but...sometimes they just really hit the spot.  Especially with eggs!

So, yea, today's lunch is actually pretty yummy.  Unfortunately it'll be freezing cold by the time I'm able to eat much of it because of the damn 'eat slowly' rule.

Some people wouldn't like the uncertainty of not knowing what they'll eat and want to pack a lunch so they're prepared.  I kind of like it though.  I can always find something and it also forces me to try things I otherwise wouldn't make for myself or choose (like if I was paying in a restaurant).  For example, today before I saw the eggs I was going to have some salmon which I don't really like but I was going to give it a shot.
