Random Thoughts

1. I had two dresses I was hoping would fit by the time we got to a friend's wedding in July.  Those dresses fit me now.  In fairness, I thought they both were 22W but they are 24W.  STILL.  I'll take it....and I'll buy a new dress in July, clearly!

2. I just cleaned out my closet.  It was a very long overdue task that I was just waiting for the energy and inspiration to tackle.  It was 80* yesterday and again today and that was what did it. My closet was full of stuff that doesn't fit (I never use my closet as a result).  So I went through the huge pile on the floor as well as all the items and put the (ridiculously large amount of) NWT stuff that's now too big in a pile to send to a friend.  I made a pile to donate (ugly, worn out, etc) and then kept some in there that I like but doesn't fit....yet.

3. I found a NWT bra (actually, 4) in my closet and I put one on and I don't know if it didn't fit before or what the issue was but it's fantastic and is my new favorite bra forever amen.

4. I dug out my last year's Summer shorts and tees and kept most of it.  I'm sure it'll be too big come shorts-weather but I just felt it was too premature to get rid of it.  I did have some NWT stuff though and I tossed that in the 'to friend' pile.

5. My big hang-up now is what to do with the winter stuff in my dresser and the huge BAG of winter sweaters (marked Winter 2010....it's 2013 now, for the record).  I clearly haven't worn it in a while but it does fit but.....will it fit come November? I hope to God no.  Is it jumping the gun to purge now?  But it seems counter-productive to file in the attic.....only to dig it out in the Fall and donate.  Thoughts?

6. Last, it's just amazing to me still the variety and range of plus sizes (women's sizes in general??).  I went to order new jeans in a 24 and the waist measurement difference among brands can be as much as 8 inches.  EIGHT INCHES PEOPLE.  Why can't it be more like men's sizing?  My husband is a 34x34 in....everything.  Easy peasy.  Me, not so much.
