Just wanted to post a quick note about my weekend. My first weekend out in the 'real world' since surgery.
1. We had two kids birthday parties today. I survived pizza, chips, soda, lasagna and cake (twice!). I ate a little something before we went to party #1 and had a sugar free pudding cup at #2. Proud of myself.
2. My incisions still amaze me with how small and innocuous they are. You know what though? They itch like a mother fucker. I am alternating slathering on Mederma (to ward off scarring) and Benadryl cream (for the itching). I know it means they are healing but maaaaaaaan.
