So yesterday when I said was Day 1 was actually considered Day 2. Whoops. So here I am on Day 3.
I actually had a decent sleep last night. I dosed well on pain meds which make you drowsy and the Nurses didn't wake me up as much.
I had the catheter taken out yesterday - which felt great - but then it meant asking every single time I need to go potty because of IVs and maneuvering the bed. It's a drag but whatcha gonna do.
The surgical service rounded this morning and let me know that since I didn't drink as much fluid yesterday as they wanted I had to stay at it on fluids for a little longer. I'm really trying but water nauseates me on a normal day and I am so so so sick of Gatorade after my diarrhea two weekends ago and then clear liquids this past weekend. Blargh. That also just gave me liquid Colace. AYFKM? I took one swig and have been dry heaving since. Thing is its a shot glass and I can't take that much at once so I have to sip *shudder*.
Back to drinking. Boo. The plan is that I'll progress later today to purees and get discharged tomorrow. We'll see.
Oh! and I got my IV out and a shower. Heaven.
