Rough Week

Not only have I been feeling more lax lately (or at least a struggle to NOT be lax) and I've been more 'snacky' and hungry but this week I have two nights of work dinners back-to-back.

Yesterday during the day was totally normal and good.  Last night we had a team dinner and I reached for the bread.  This wasn't your run of the mill dinner roles.  This was fresh-out-of-the-oven pita with garlic and cheese.  It was outrageous and completely not allowed.  I had 3 bites and gave it to a friend.  Oh! also only 3 people at dinner know about the surgery.

Today I'm locked in a conference room for al all day brainstorming session from 9-5.  I had to get an easy portable breakfast.  Ended up with egg whites and cheese on a scooped out roll.  I had half.

Lunch comes and again we have like 20 mins to grab something so I can't run all over to get the perfect protein item.  I get a turkey sandwich.  I have not even half.  Still!  Bread twice - and WHITE bread at that.  Oy!  Now, dinner is going to be the real challenge.  Last night I had broiled fish.  Easy peasy.  Tonight a fancy pizza place is the selected venue.  Not only is that some of my favorite food but I've looked at the menu and they don't serve any 'entrees' of just fish or chicken!  It's salads, antipasti, panini or wood oven pizza.  OMG I can already not even handle the amazing smell and I'm not there.

ETA 5/15: aaaaand I've totally gained weight.  I was so good at dinner last night.  I ordered just the meatballs and I ate one.  I know I haven't been perfect but I still can't believe I'm eating enough to gain weight.  Pissed.
