Two things I have a love for again. Well, love is strong. Love/Hate. I love that I look and feel better - enough that clothes in stores fit and I have the stamina to shop again. Hate that finding clothes for my new body sucks. I guess all the weight hid how much my shape changed post-baby (hello thick waist!) so it's hard finding pants that aren't curvy fit (because ZOMG don't you know that every fat woman has a big ass and thighs and a smaller waist? Dur.).
I got money from my MIL and Husband around Mother's Day to spend on new stuff since they are proud of me and know that I'm desperate. Slowly but surely I'm finding some cute stuff. It's hard though because, as always, I have expensive taste which didn't matter when I was a 26W because it wasn't an option, but now that Ralph Lauren fits again? Yea. But, I'm really trying not to get expensive stuff since these are (hopefully) interim sizes that I won't be in long enough to justify the splurge.
If you recall, I was a size 26W pants when I started this journey 56 pounds ago. Today I started my second round of emptying my closet and I kept a pair of those 26W jeans to document. Here they are today. Wild.
Today I received some pants I ordered in a 20W and they fit (except for my fat ass calves - what is UP with them?)
I have been tossing aside clothes as I try things on for work and realize "welp, this is too big now" and that's been easy - even fun! But I also have a huge bag in my closet of winter sweaters in a 3X and I'm having a hard time pulling the trigger on tossing (donating). I don't know why though. Is it because I'm subconsciously afraid that come Winter they'll fit again, like in former weight loss patterns where I've lost, and then gained? Something to discuss w/ my Therapist, perhaps.
In general though, it's way easier and more fun to get ruthlessly get rid of clothes that have gotten too big rather than ones that have gotten too small....

Yay for needing new clothes...but boo for not being able to find clothes that you like, that fit, and that don't cost too much!
