Today was my daughter's 3rd birthday party. We had it at a local gym and they served pizza and cake, of course.
I was hungry and as pizza was the only option, I ate it. I ate an ENTIRE piece (a small one, but still). I couldn't believe it - and I didn't feel sick at all.
I didn't have cake at lunch b/c I figured it would put me over the age but I *was* going to have a little bit of cake. I think it's important if you want a special occasion thing like that to find a way to fit it in. This is a LIFESTYLE change and I'm not going to not eat cake for the rest of my life.
Yesterday was another friend's party - I easily skipped the cake. Today was MY kid's party and I wanted to celebrate. Anyway, I had dinner and then about an hour later had some cake. Ooooooof. I feel so so sick. It was sickeningly sweet and I had it too close to my meal. I took a small piece and was still only able to eat a little bit.
But, I had it. I'm counting my weight today for the week - not tomorrow. I had it, had my taste, don't need any more, ready to move on.
aaaaand the I barfed. I barfed up all that cake. I am different, my body is different. Even if I take only small amounts of things, there are some things I simply cannot tolerate anymore and I guess more than a bite of sweet sweet cake is one of those things.
