140 Lbs LOST!

As of this morning I'm down and even, a cool, 140 lbs.   Basically I've lost a pretty 'normal' sized woman (and left one who is still considered by BMI "overweight" behind).  I tried to find a good image on the web to illustrate this lost but most searches led me to Kim Kardashian....and most of them were like 'who is she kidding that she weighs 140...".  So, no picture.  Let's just say I've lost about THREE AND A HALF pre-schoolers (at least big tall ones like my girl :)

Not only that, but today I stand at 195 lbs and I'm ever inching closer to my skinny husband.  Breathing down his neck, can't believe I'll ever really pass him but....I might!  His weight fluctuates but he's pretty much always *somewhere* in the 180s.  I'm coming for you!

We leave for vacation this weekend.  I kept accessible all the Summer clothes I wore in Hawaii (October) and tried some on.  The shirts are  OK.  The shorts aren't.  I ordered some more in a 16 but they're a little big.  I prbly could have done a 14 (I think I just can't my head around that and was afraid to order it).  So now I don't now if I wear the REALLY too big ones I already have or keep these kinda/sorta big ones for just a week.  At least they were cheap...

Can I just tell you what is a complete travesty though?  Bathing suits.  You think oh you lost that much weight rock in out in a new bathing suit.  But, no.  Just N-O.  I've been able to 'hide' in winter clothes now for a while but holy good God is my hanging skin bad.  My tummy is bad but shapers and clothes can always hide that and the only person truly exposed to it is my husband.  I mean what's some sag among stretch marks and surgery scars.  HOT.  But my arms are SO bad.  Every short sleeved shirt is just too short for me.  My legs (thighs) are also really bad (my daughter PLAYS with them.  Ew) but bermuda shorts are my friend.  Then...bathing suits.  There is no place for my arms and legs to hide.  I got two new suits to try and tankini vs one piece is always a struggle.  But, truly  both are not good.  I mean they fit but yeeesh  There is so much moving it's hard to even see the suit.  I think I really am going to have to go for a swim tee this summer (and maybe even a skirted bottom).

Too amish?  It looks cute on her!

  1. Amazing, Megan!

I am usually between 137 and 141 lbs., so pull up a pic of me (Kim Kardhashian? NO. Just no.) and call it a day. HAHAHA.

Congratulations. So proud of you. Can't wait to have the opportunity to see your transformation in person.
