Ch-ch-changes....

How many of you (my, what, two readers?) remember this post "Fat Flyer".  Flying was one of the biggest NSVs (non-scale victories) I was looking forward to.  I flew for the first time post-surgery this past weekend.   However, that flight was in a very spacious business class-type seat that would have been roomy even 60 pounds heavier.  But, last night, I flew on a 'normal' sized plane/seat from Paris to Dublin.  It.was.amazing.    Here is a list of things that have changed, for the better:

  • Seat belt on without issue (room to spare!)
  • Legs (thighs) fit on my chair alone not oozing out to the middle seat
  • Ass/thighs fit in the seat and didn't tough either side (!!!!!)
  • Arm rest was down and wasn't being pushed up by my leg trying to escape to the next seat.
  • The tray came all the way down and layed fully flat
  • I was able to cross my legs (!)
I realize that most of you don't see these as extraordinary things.  But, unless you've lived in the skin of a morbidly obese person, you have no idea about many of the daily struggles we face just trying to get through a day.

I also walked for nearly 2 miles in Paris without pain.  AMAZING.

That'd be me crossing my legs

Tray table, down!
